About this Episode

In this episode we're joined by Larry Matthies, Sr. Research Scientist and head of computer vision in the mobility and robotics division at JPL. Larry joins us on the heels of two presentations at this year's CVPR conference, the first on Onboard Stereo Vision for Drone Pursuit or Sense and Avoid and another on Vision Systems for Planetary Landers. In our conversation, we touch on both of these talks, his work on vision systems for the first iteration of Mars rovers in 2004 and the future of planetary landing projects.
