Ram is the VP of Engineering and R&D at Pinecone. At Pinecone, Ram leads all aspects of engineering and R&D that go into the Pinecone vector database. Prior to Pinecone, Ram was VP of the machine learning and security research groups at Splunk. Ram has held a variety of product, engineering, and research leadership roles at companies like Databricks, Yahoo, and Goldman Sachs.
He holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Maryland and a BTech in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
