Over the past few years, the Machine Learning landscape has exploded with new product offerings, frameworks, and rapidly diversifying ML practitioners. Practically, what this means for platforms teams is that you’ve probably made some good bets and some bad bets over the years, and at some point you will need to step back and rethink your strategy. This talk outlines how we’ve approached this challenge at Spotify. During this talk, we will break down how Spotify’s Hendrix Platform is evolving to meet changing needs while maintaining a cohesive and scalable experience and attempting to balance the benefits and challenges of standardization.
