To join the slack community, go to http://twimlai.com/community/ and click the “Join Us” button. Once you complete and submit the form you will receive an invite to the Slack community in your email. Click on the “Join Now” button in the invite email to join the slack community.
Once in the slack community, click on the “+” next to “Channels” and select “browse channels.” You should then be able to search for the #stanford_cs224u channel and join it there.
